Our ancestors originally came from eastern Tibet, crossing the Nangpa La pass at 5,900 m (19,100 ft), about five centuries ago. The word "Sherpa" literally means people from the east. They settled in the Solu-Khumbu region of Nepal, the southern gateway to Mt Everest. Given our heritage, we practice the Tibetan form of Buddhism.

A rare fun find when visiting Golden Colorado. Very unique atmosphere with interesting artifacts and great history. We ordered the combination sizzle, and the yak stew. Both were delicious, the lamb from the sizzle and the yak from stew were a little dry but overall great flavors!
This place is a STAPLE of golden Colorado. The servers are all very kind and attentive. The atmosphere is relaxing, intricate, and transformative. The food is absolutely scrumptious, I recommend all of it. This is the go to spot my friends and I go to. Overall, this place is dope.
The Sherpa House is a must-go in Golden! We had the lunch buffet ($15 each) and it was an excellent value and worth every penny for the chance to try all the delicious dishes! The food is really, really good and the ambiance on the patio relaxing. It's a delightfully immersive experience, with lots of Nepalese culture, food and people. Go here now!
Amazing!! This was a very unique restaurant. Love the decor. You definitely want to sit on the outside patio. The food was good, I got the sampler and it was a ton of food. It was great to taste different dishes since I was by myself. It Probably would feed two. 100% recommend.
Sherpa house is ALWAYS amazing and they have done a great job managing all things COVID. They are a staple to the Golden community and their service and food makes it a wonderful place to eat (or get take out during this time). We love them!
